DESIGNATION: TURBINE DCS OPERATOR / ENGINEER
ROLE: TURBINE DCS ENGINEER
DEPARTMENT: CAPTIVE POWER PLANT - OPERATIONS
REPORTS TO: ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER – CAPTIVE POWER PLANT - OPERATIONS
LOCATION: KHUNTI, CHOWKA-KANDRA ROAD, JHARKHAND
- Production Optimization: Maximize daily hot metal production while maintaining consistent quality within specified limits. Oversee areas of Control Room, Cast House, PCM, Dry GCP, Stove.
- Fuel Efficiency: Minimize coke rate and optimize fuel injection (coal, oil, gas) to improve thermal efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Process Stability: Monitor and control key process parameters (blast temperature, pressure, top gas composition, etc.) to ensure stable and efficient furnace operation.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve process upsets (e.g. Low production, abnormal temperatures) to minimize downtime and production losses.
- Performance Monitoring: Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on blast furnace performance, including production, efficiency, and cost data, for management review.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor the condition and performance of critical equipment (e.g., tuyeres, coolers, stoves) to identify potential problems and plan maintenance activities.
•Minimum Experience of 5 -7 Years in Blast Furnace Operations.
•Diploma / B. TECH in Metallurgy/Mechanical Engineering
•I.T.I / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
•Minimum 2–3 years of experience in DCS-based turbine operations
•Familiarity with DCS systems like Siemens, Yokogawa, ABB, or Honeywell
•Understanding of turbine auxiliaries like governing system, lube oil system, and condenser units

•Strong operational knowledge of steam turbines and associated systems
•Familiarity with plant safety and emergency procedures
•Quick decision-making and troubleshooting ability
•Effective communication and team coordination
•Willingness to work in rotating shifts
